Project Overview
The project involved constructing a birdcage scaffold at The Huntsman Inn, a public house in Huddersfield. The scaffold was designed to support an extension within a void area while adhering to strict requirements to maintain public safety and minimize disruption. The site remained active, requiring careful planning and execution to ensure the work did not interfere with the building’s external walls, roof structure, log burner feed, and chimney stack construction.

Challenges and Solutions
Working on a site open to the public and accommodating other trades demanded exceptional communication and a strong focus on safety. Our team meticulously followed the design plans and adapted scaffold equipment, cutting materials to size where necessary. This ensured that the scaffold was constructed precisely without impeding the progress of other essential works or compromising the site’s safety.

Outcome and Client Relationship
The project was completed to the highest standards and in full compliance with safety regulations, earning positive feedback from the client. The successful completion of this job continues to strengthen our ongoing relationship with the brewery, who entrust us with public house projects across the North of England throughout the year.
Difficult Job as the access is so limited to my property, and had actually previous been refused by other more local company’s due to this. But the scaffolders that came worked hard, and completed the job just as the builder needed. Great lads, very polite and respectful. Great job all round.
