This domestic project involved scaffolding for a local property undergoing extension works and a loft conversion on a tight site. The challenges included accommodating building material storage at the front, ensuring access for wheelbarrows to the rear, and maintaining clearance for extension footings to be constructed simultaneously with the dormer. Additionally, we needed to keep the neighbour’s satellite TV operational while providing safe working space and material storage on the upper levels.

Our team collaborated closely with the building contractor to maximize the available space for scaffold positioning. A walkthrough was engineered using wall ties, which secured the structure while eliminating the need for bracing tubes at the base. For the rear, we implemented a tower and beam span system, enabling the single-story extension works to continue uninterrupted. The scaffold was cantilevered over the neighbouring boundary to maintain the satellite signal, ensuring minimal disruption to the neighbour.

Despite the complexities, the project was completed to the highest standards. The innovative scaffolding solutions allowed work to progress efficiently and safely, satisfying the client, homeowner, and neighbour.
